An overview of what to expect when migrating from Typical Manager 2024.1 to 2025, and where to find the details.

This article gives you a short overview of the migration from Typical Manager 2024.1 to 2025. Please read it first, then continue with the other article in this folder for the full details.


What changes in this migration:

  1. The list of supported SQL Server versions has changed. Typical Manager 2025 supports Microsoft SQL Server 2022 only. If you are still on SQL Server 2019, you must upgrade your database platform before migrating Typical Manager. See Article 3.2 for the full details and the reasons to upgrade.


Impact on your existing data Yellax aims to keep new versions as familiar as possible. For this migration there is no functional change inside Typical Manager that affects your Projects, Library, or Attribute behaviour. The main thing to prepare is your database environment.


Before you start

  • Check your current Microsoft SQL Server version.
  • If you are on SQL Server 2019, plan the upgrade to SQL Server 2022 before migrating Typical Manager.
  • Make sure you have a recent backup of your Typical Manager database before you begin.
