Introduction

This article highlights the new features and improvements introduced in Typical Manager 2026. Use it as a quick reference to understand what has changed since the previous release and how the new functionality can benefit your daily work.

For migration guidance, please refer to the Typical Manager 2026 Migration document. For a complete list of changes (including bug fixes), see the Typical Manager 2026 Release notes.

Table of Contents

  1. New scope for Attribute Count
  2. AutoCAD support 2025 + 2026
  3. Copying Library Template Type
  4. Find All References contains Count Filter attributes
  5. Library Product Interfaces contains Is used column

1. New scope for Attribute Count

A new Scope Count option is available that can increase count performance. See Attribute type – Count attribute for all available count options.

The following scope has been added for the Attribute of type Count:

"In Project structure level and all their children."

This scope can be seen as a combination of the scopes "In Project structure level" and "In all Project structure children."

From the position of the products, it includes all products that have the same parent and, of these, all their children and sub-children.

The sequence of the products is the same as the sequence shown in the tree ("Default sorting" or "Sort by Sequence number").

Example outcomes

  • Attribute: Count
  • Subtype: Project structure
  • Scope: In Project structure level and all their children

P = Project Product

Value: Index

P1 [Expected index: 1]
├── P1.1            [Expected index: 1]
│   └── P1.1.1      [Expected index: 1]
├── P1.2            [Expected index: 3]
│   └── P1.2.1      [Expected index: 1]
└── P1.3            [Expected index: 5]
P2                  [Expected index: 7]

Value: Sum

P1 [Expected sum: 7]
├── P1.1            [Expected sum: 5]
│   └── P1.1.1      [Expected sum: 1]
├── P1.2            [Expected sum: 5]
│   └── P1.2.1      [Expected sum: 1]
└── P1.3            [Expected sum: 5]
P2                  [Expected sum: 7]

Tip: Use this new scope when fewer items need to be counted compared to the broader "in total Project structure" scope. This can significantly improve performance.

2. AutoCAD support 2025 + 2026

The supported AutoCAD Electrical versions for Typical Manager 2026 are AutoCAD 2025 and AutoCAD 2026.

The following AutoCAD versions are no longer supported in Typical Manager 2026:

  • 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2024

Note: These versions remain supported in the previous release, Typical Manager 2025.

For more information, please contact our Support Desk.

3. Copying Library Template Type

The Library now offers a Copy option for Logical and Scada Template Types.

When copying a Template Type, the copy will automatically include a copy in the Location Format as well, ensuring full consistency between the source and the copy.

How to use:

  1. Open Library >> Logical >> Template type (or Library >> Scada >> Template type).
  2. Right-click the Template Type you wish to duplicate.
  3. Select Copy from the context menu.

The copy is created with the related Location Format included.

4. Find All References contains Count Filter attributes

Find All References has been extended to include entities used as Count Filter references.

Attributes, Products, Modules, Stations, Units, I/O Symbolics, I/O Types, and I/O Signal Types will now appear in the Find All References result list when they are used in a Count attribute filter.

This makes it much easier to identify all places where a specific entity is being used in count calculations before making changes to it.

5. Library Product Interfaces contains Is used column

In the Library, the Product Interfaces screen now contains a new Is used column.

This column provides at-a-glance information about whether each interface is currently being used, helping you to better maintain your library and identify obsolete interfaces.

Location: Library >> Interfaces
