Applies to: Typical Manager 2026 (.NET 8 based release). For Typical Manager 2025 or earlier, please refer to the Typical Manager 2025 — System Requirements article (those releases are based on .NET Framework 4.8 and use SQL Server 2022).
Introduction
This article outlines the minimum system requirements necessary for using Typical Manager 2026. Adhering to these requirements ensures that your machine can support a basic installation of the software.
The suitability of a configuration for your organization depends on several factors such as the number of projects, concurrent users, and performance expectations. It is also important to consider whether you are using a terminal server.
For installation steps after verifying your environment, please refer to the Typical Manager 2026 — Installation Guide article. For migration guidance from Typical Manager 2025, see the Typical Manager 2026 Migration document article.
For optimal performance, we strongly advise using a 64-bit Windows operating system.
For data security, we highly recommend setting up an automated backup process to occur at least once daily.
What's different in Typical Manager 2026
Compared to Typical Manager 2025, the system requirements have changed in three important ways:
