Typical Manager 2024.1 supports Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022. This article explains why and what to do if you are on an older version.

To provide you with the best possible experience and the highest level of security, Yellax supports only SQL Server versions that are currently under official Microsoft support and not considered End of Life.

Supported versions for Typical Manager 2024.1:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2022

Why upgrading your SQL Server matters

  • Security: SQL Server updates include important security patches and fixes that address known vulnerabilities. Upgrading to a supported version helps keep your data protected.
  • Performance and stability: Newer SQL Server versions generally bring significant performance improvements and enhanced stability, resulting in faster queries and a more reliable database environment.
  • Feature enhancements: Microsoft regularly introduces new features and capabilities. Staying on a supported version means you can take advantage of those improvements.
  • Vendor support: Running a supported SQL Server version ensures you receive continued support from both Yellax and Microsoft. If something goes wrong, both teams can help you resolve it.

Risks of continuing on an unsupported version Staying on an unsupported SQL Server version poses risks to data security, system performance, and overall stability. We strongly recommend upgrading to a supported SQL Server version as soon as possible.
